We belong to an International Network of Expressive Arts professional training and community. As a cooperating partner institute with the European Graduate School, BLA offers a Dual Pathway Program, which includes an academic pathway for individuals’ who want to add a M.A. degree to their professional portfolio.

Our History with EGS began in 2009 when  the Program Director, Lanie Bergin enrolled in dual training pathway. Here’s what she has to share about that experience;

My professional journey in the field of expressive arts came to fruition after a pivotal junction in my life. When my mom passed away I decided to join a performance-based expressive arts community. At the time, immersing myself in the healing arts within an artist-residency milieu afforded me the time and space to work through a difficult time in my life, personally.  As I progressed through my healing journey I began to see and manifest what was living inside me, latent for many years. I found EGS and then later Lesley University. I benefited from this dual pathway approach to learning, in many ways. The EGS program is a three-summer intensive in Switzerland and I found that the land alone was magical. I was immersed in a diverse landscape of experiences, voices and cultures. My research project Whole Child Left Behind spawned the creation of BLA school, from an LLC and to a nonprofit 501c3.
